IARMJ Asia Pacific Chapter conference Melbourne, Australia, 25-26 Nov 2024

From November 25, 2024 00:00 until November 27, 2024 00:00
Categories: Asia Pacific Chapter
The IARMJ Asia Pacific Chapter is aware that some interested registrants for the November conference in Melbourne are still waiting for government approval or processing of funding.  To ensure that no-one is disadvantaged, the decision has been made to hold earlybird registration open for a further two weeks, at the lower rate of $295, until 13 September.

The Conference is on the topic of ‘Addressing Vulnerabilities in Processes, Systems and Decision Making in Refugee and Migration Decision Making’.  It will address sub-themes including mental health, statelessness, judicial resilience, credibility, detention, artificial intelligence, gender and SOGI, and deportations and removals amongst others.  We are very excited to have experts and experienced decision makers from across the region as well as from further afield.

The Conference will take place on Monday 25 November 2024 and Tuesday 26 November 2024, and an expert workshop will be held on Wednesday 27 November 2024.  The Conference will be held at the Peter McMullin Centre on Statelessness – University of Melbourne Law School, 185 Pelham Street Carlton Victoria, Australia.

The registration form will allow you to nominate to attend the conference, as well as the optional workshop and the conference dinner, which will be held on the Monday evening at the magnificent University House Woodward Centre.

We are excited to be partnering with the Peter McMullin Centre on Statelessness – University of Melbourne Law School for this conference and we gratefully acknowledge their support.

Further details of hotels with special rates and other offers will be released shortly.

Please don’t hesitate to get in contact if there is any further information that we can provide.
