Paper on Guidance on Credibility Assessment in the EU
An abridged version of this paper, with many hyperlinks to this full paper, has been passed, as the IARLJ (EU) contribution, to the HHC for inclusion in the publication later in 2013 of the all the Credo findings and research results.
All the judges who worked on the paper agreed that there is a real need for continuing research and study to achieve greater consistency in credibility assessment across the EU and beyond. The establishment of an IARLJ (EUR) Working Party was therefore agreed upon at the workshop in Madrid in September 2012. Accordingly the material in this paper is to be treated as “work in progress” consultation and updates will be carried out by the working party.
The Credo project itself will provide extensive training material for all levels, which will be done by HHC, UNHCR, IARLJ and others in the future
Members who wish to join the Working Party should indicate their interest and details to the Secretariat at
It is likely an IARLJ ”launch” of this full paper will be held in Nijmegen, Netherlands on 16-17 April, in conjunction with other related events. Full details will be advised as soon as finalised so that members will be able to attend.
